Information about the Atlanta Technical College online computer class, registering in a technical degree program to develop job skills, and taking free practice tests online. You don't have to be enrolled in a degree program to sign up for online courses. Distance education reduces the need for high-priced, physical course textbooks. Many textbooks are now available as e-books on Kindle, or as shareware. Online education can open up the opportunity to take difficult courses that won't show up on your transcript, if you so choose. Alternatively, you can complete additional credits for a grade.

An in-depth knowledge of computer technology is fast becoming a requirement in most skilled jobs. You don't have to be a computer programmer, however, to pick up essential online skills. Even while you're still a student, you should think about earning a part-time income online. A few simple steps will help you start your own e-Commerce business. The easiest way to start is by authoring a daily blog, and monetize your traffic with Google Adsense. You can drive targeted visitors to your site at a reasonable cost by learning search engine optimization (SEO) techniques. You can also make money with affiliate programs, or charge monthly membership fees, if making certain types of Android OS websites. Just web page design and layout isn't enough, if no-one can find it in Google search results. You'll also need online marketing skills.

Online Courses - MOOCs

Atlanta Technical College pagenameThere are over 6,500 accredited colleges and universities in the United States, which collectively enroll over 15 million students, granting two million bachelors degrees a year. Pursue your career interests, not high-paying starting salaries, and your overall job earnings will reflect the enthusiasm that you bring to your work, increasing over time as you gain business experience. If you focus your prospective degree choice on salary alone, there is the risk that you may suffer early signs of burnout, and be forced to change careers.

Technical training programs are a low-cost alternative to attending college, and you might end up earning a lot of money as a highly-skilled, technical consultant, or by starting your own small business. Massive Open Online Courses are known as MOOCs, and offer a variety of learning platforms, utilizing cloud-based software and Google apps.

An online degree may be just as marketable as a college degree earned on campus. Udemy online learning, a site which allows anyone to build (or take) online courses, is a new startup with backing from the founders of Groupon. Khan Academy now offers over 3,900 micro-lectures available via YouTube. Coursera, another online-learning software platform, has millions of enrolled students around the world. Through MIT Open Courseware online classes, educators can improve development of their curricula, making their instruction more effective.

Computer Training

As certain fields expand, high-paying jobs continue to open up for graduates of technical degree programs in computer programming, health care, and small business administration. A given website's success is governed by two factors, visitor traffic and online sales conversions. Think about the type of online business that you want to start, and then build an e-Commerce website using a template or HTML, adding a database and programming routines.

By registering a domain name, pointing the name servers to your hosting company, then building an active website in HTML or via a WordPress template, you're in the game. Similar to magazine page layout, website design includes the fields of graphic design, copywriting, and search engine optimization (SEO). Success is governed by two factors, visitor traffic and online sales conversions. There are many search engines which offer pay per click (PPC) advertising, with Google Adwords being the most popular.

Nursing & Medical Job Listings

Earning a CNA degree (Certified Nursing Assistant) is the first step towards becoming a fully-qualified nurse. Most CNA programs can be completed within a few months, allowing you to join the workforce quickly. The next step in a nursing career is to become a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or LVN ( Licensed Vocational Nurse). These are year-long programs, in which you'll work under an RN distributing meds, treating wounds, and providing basic patient care.

In order to become an RN (Registered Nurse), a bachelors degree in nursing is recommended. RN's command a greater salary, and are responsible for an enlarged scope of practice over LPNs and CNAs. Students will receive classroom instruction and clinical training in a hospital setting. A 4-year BSN program allows students to further specialize in the areas of pediatrics, geriatrics and mental health. After completing your nursing education, you must be licensed by the state in which you'll be practicing, given that state boards of nursing each have specific certification requirements.
